It’s that time of year to think about holiday gifting. The holidays are just around the corner and the tradition of sending gifts is about to kick into full gear. Are you ready?

Now is the time to think about how you want to reach out to clients and acknowledge relationships that have been forged both recently and throughout the years.

But before you send the gifts, do your homework. One, make sure you are sending the right message and be appropriate with your gifting. Consider compliance and other regulations regarding gifts. Some corporations have strict rules against this, so before you place that order, do your research.  Two, in those cases where individual gifting is not appropriate, consider a group gift that an entire office can share and enjoy, such as a healthy, gourmet food basket. Three, make a charitable donation in the name of your client or their corporation. Many corporations are already associated with philanthropy or have one that is built into their corporate structure.  Donating to their charity in lieu of a gift is a great way to acknowledge your partnership and spread good cheer.

Four, maybe you are looking for a clever way to share in the holiday spirit while also staying front-of-mind with your customer base. Take the opportunity to brand an item that is popular out there in the real world, like personalized luggage tags or environmentally friendly, high-end water bottles that clients can utilize at the office.

Are you fresh out of ideas?  Five, there are vendors in The American Meetings Network’s Business Directory under the Premium Promotional Products section with items for you to explore that perfectly fit your holiday gifting needs.  Some ideas can be for apparel, bags, calendars, computer and desk accessories, executive-level gifts, even food, and beverage.
